Jim (Michael Chiklis) while buying flowers for Stephanie (Julie Benz) learn that he has a new power which is being fire resistant. On the night of their 18th wedding anniversary they planned on a romantic evening but they end up using their powers to stop an arsonist who also display some superpowers of his own. Meanwhile, Daphne (Kay Panabaker) is left in charge of JJ (Jimmy Bennett) and the house but she gets talked into hosting a poker game with a bunch of students.
