Stephanie (Julie Benz) starts to doubt that JJ (Jimmy Bennett) has no powers after demonstrating knowledge about advanced mechanical engineering. Jim (Michael Chiklis) starts investigating after learning that  the recent earthquakes may have not been a natural occurance. Daphne (Kay Panabaker) runs into some acquiantances and inavertedly reads their thoughts. She now faces a difficult decision if she would do something about what she knows. Sophia (Laura Innes) goes free as per the agreement but unknown to her they added a tracking agent in her food. While President Martinez (Blair Underwood) and Blake (Zeljko Ivanek) track her movements she manages to evade them. With these turn of events they now suspect that there is a mole within their group. Simon's (Ian Anthony Dale) loyalty is tested after he lets his emotions get the better of him. Sean (Jason Ritter) and Leila (Sarah Roemer) look for answers by going back to Leila's house. They stumble into Madeline who may be able to give them more information about the events that are happening.

All the while Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) is reminded of the horrible experience he encountered as a child during Halloween. Gloria (Sofía Vergara ) is pissed at Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Manny (Rico Rodriguez) for making fun of her accent. Claire breaks down when the family doesn't share the same enthusiasm that she has for Halloween.

Lauren (Zoie Palmer) checks on a sick Aswang with Bo (Anna Silk) and Kenzi (Ksenia Solo). While in the Aswang's home Kenzi becomes very sick after eating some contaminated human foot soup. Bo convinces Lauren to help her break into a pharmaceutical company to try and determine the source of the contagion and create a cure for Kenzi. Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried) looks for Kenzi after she breaks out of the clinic, eventually he finds her very weak in a cemetary. Trick (Richard Howland) helps in taking care of Kenzi and sacrifices one of the most important possesion he has to save her.

The survivors of the flight continue to show signs of biological degradation. After receiving a call from Thomas (Clifton Collins Jr.) demanding that the detainees be released, the President (Blair Underwood) is faced with a difficult decision. Simon (Ian Anthony Dale) tells Sophia (Laura Innes) that Thomas is no longer capable and asks that she back him up in appealing to Thomas to give the president the antidote. Sean (Jason Ritter) blackmailing Vicky (Taylor Cole) had no choice but help in getting Leila (Sarah Roemer) free. FBI Agent Collier (Heather McComb) manages to get a wounded Carter (D.B. Sweeney) as a prisoner.
