A man jumps into the subway tracks to save a woman who is having seizures and suddenly he himself fell unconscious. House (Hugh Laurie) still not believing selfless deeds is at odds with Masters (Amber Tamblyn) because of her beliefs. Meanwhile Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) and Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) bust House on his attempt to skip both of their appointments and eventually they all have to go to dinner with Cuddy's overbearing mother. Taub on the other hand becomes the face of the hospital but his married life is on shaky grounds. Candice Bergen guest stars as Cuddy's mother Arlene.
